AGOF Overview of Committees

How we are organised

 
There are several committees which allow us to cover the range of topics related to the activities of AGOF in the best possible way. As displayed in the organisational chart below, the AGOF committee structure consists of the Technical Commission, Online Media Planning Commission, Commission Mobile and Marketing/PR.

AGOF Committees

Technical Commission:
The Technical Commission (TC) is responsible for the methodology used in AGOF’s online research projects. One representative, usually a market researcher, for each member has a seat in the TC. Hence, the committee comprises renowned market researchers of Germany’s leading online marketers and deals with the following tasks, in particular:

  • dmethodological conception and technical implementation of data collection on coverage and audience composition (AGOF study)
  • methodological monitoring and quality control, together with the research companies and service providers involved
  • defining standards for analysing and reporting these studies
  • defining standards for analysing and reporting these studies
  • defining required specifications for media planning and analysis software

Online Media Planning Commission:
The Online Media Planning Commission (OPC) is responsible for all topics relevant to online media planning. One representative, usually a media planner, for each member has a seat in the OPC. Hence, the committee comprises renowned media planners of Germany’s leading online marketers and deals with the following tasks, in particular:

  • expanding and developing the planning tool TOP 2.0 with regard to functions specific for online media
  • collecting and integrating user needs for TOP 2.0
  • exchange and communication with media agencies to keep an “eye on the market“
  • methodical monitoring and quality control together with the service providers involved

Mobile Commission:
The Mobile Commission is responsible for all topics related to mobile Internet consumption and using the Internet with mobile devices. The committee deals with the development of an individual study called “mobile facts”, which is modelled on the internet facts study. The objective of this study is to facilitate the measurement of mobile coverage. The tasks of this committee are, in particular:

  • to define and delimit mobile Internet consumption
  • to communicate and co-operate with the operators in Germany
  • to develop a study model for measuring mobile coverage data
  • to design and technically implement the measurement of mobile coverage data
  • to monitor and perform quality control, together with the service providers involved

The members of the Mobile Commission are:

Marketing/PR:
Marketing/PR is responsible for all marketing activities as well as AGOF’s press and public relation activities. The tasks of this committee are, in particular:

  • to communicate AGOF-related topics to the relevant target groups and the general public
  • to place and forward AGOF’s communication contents with/to the trade press
  • to develop, execute and attend to AGOF’s marketing activities, such as creating image brochures, conceptual design for trade show appearances, etc.
  • to prepare and present all topics relating to AGOF for internal and external communication
